Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack - HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Python and Django

Located in Los Angeles, we are searching for an experienced full-stack Senior Software Engineer to participate in the technical design and software development of highly scalable customer facing platforms. This role will offer the flexibility of working with both browser-based technologies and server side technologies for development of full business solutions.
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop software across the full application stack for both or desktop and mobile web experiences with particular emphasis on browser technologies
  • Collaborate with our product team and UX/UI designers for technical guidance in building elegant and deceptively simple user interfaces
  • Help lead the adoption of progressive front and back-end technologies
  • Participate in development of unit tests and code reviews
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues
  • Participate in our Agile Scrum process including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
 
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of programming experience of commercial application stacks
  • Strong understanding of software best practices, data structures, algorithms, databases and networks
  • Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and multi-tiered architectures
  • Strong experience with HTML/CSS and Javascript
  • Proficient in Python and Django
  • Experience with Backbone and React is a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms is a plus
  • Understanding of UX/UI best practices including responsive and adaptive design
  • Experience with data modeling and access (Relational and Non-Relational)
  • Proficient working with a Unix/Linux operating system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to expand your skill sets and learn new technologies
  • Relentless dedication and discipline in building world-class enduring software
  • BA/BS (Computer Science preferred), or equivalent experience
