The Data Analyst will contribute to the development and implementation data reports and strive to achieve consistent, effective reporting of system data.  The Data Analyst shall be responsible for supporting the recording and analysis needs.
  • Researches, interprets, analyzes, and writes reports on data.
  • Participates in quality improvement, quality assurance, and compliance activities.
  • Researches information; compiles and analyzes data.
  • Prepares flow and organizational charts, workload statistics, and statistical data displays.
  • Works within the parameters of identified projects.
  • Prepares complex reports that communicate group/department priorities, policies, and procedures.
  • Prioritize current and future projects.
  • Participates in special task forces
  • Formulates criteria, processes, and procedures for evaluating the impacts of projects, plans, and programs for service delivery.
  • Conducts special projects that may include, but are not limited to, needs assessments, survey analyses, and program standard development.
  • Analyzes patterns and prepares recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Makes oral presentations.
  • Researches and develops recommendations to improve outcomes.
  • Expert in MS Excel.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Access.
  • Able to learn new software systems.
  • Create data visualizations to clarify and inform a variety of audiences.
  • Collaborate with Communication staff to create information graphics based on data analysis and findings.
  • Design data and ad hoc reports.
  • Lead the development of standard reports.
  • Support training efforts within reporting.
  • Support change management effort
  • Written or spoken communication materials on data reporting.
  • Develop and update project planning documents.
  • Project status reports, reporting tools (e.g. Contract Business Process Review – CBPR).
  • Track and log project deliverables and ensure that deliverables are placed in the project documentation files. 
  • Recent experience within the last 2 years.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Quick learner, able to accurately assimilate and analyze information from a variety of sources, and synthesize to produce consumable products.
  • Strong computer skills, including: Cognos, SPSS, or similar power data analysis tools, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, SharePoint, and Access.
  • Understanding of data and how it supports business decisions.
  • Soft skills: creative, focused, strong organizational skills, problem solver, attention to detail, flexible, proactive.
